CTS comes with a professional PBR texture library that can be applied with a click to instantly change the look and feel of your scenes and can be tweaked at run time to get your environment just right.

Important Note

This version of CTS works with Unity 5.6 - 2018.2, and 2018.3 without instancing or pipeline support.
If you wish to target Unity 2018.3 or Unity 2019 with instancing and lw and hd pipeline support then please upgrade or purchase CTS 2019 instead.

Hardware Support:

- Shader model 3.5+ (basic + advanced);

- Shader model 4.6+ (tesselation);

Shaders are limited by texture array support and consequently do not support DX9, OpenGLES 2.0 or Web GL1.0.

NOTE #1: CTS 1.9.x does NOT support terrain instancing and the LW or HD SRP pipelines.
For instancing, LW and HD SRP support please see CTS 2019.

NOTE #2: Meshes are supported, but the workflow to generate and configure the texture and splat arrays used by CTS is still a terrain based workflow.
You can however remove the terrain and replace it with a mesh as last step in process.

NOTE #3: CTS is fast, however old cards without dynamic branching support have had issues with this, so please download and run our demo's before purchasing to ensure your system is compatible.

CTS: the Megasplat / RTP / Distingo killer by Anon_471Vote

Adam Goodrich must have had the same frustration than me when he tried to interface Megasplat to Gaia...because CTS does everything like Megasplat, but does it MUCH better - and fixes all its problems. CTS is using texture arrays, that is a pretty new technology that allows you to create arrays of texture with size up to 256... Where Megasplat fails to do a usable system for a regular designer, CTS is doing an artist friendly drag and drop texture system that is working exactly like the Unity`s terrain, and take care of the complex texture array creation and maintenance. You just have to press the Bake texture button and what was taking you hours with Megasplat now takes seconds! Also where Megasplat was not able to convert an Unity terrain correctly, CTS not only can do it, but it uses the Unity`s terrain directly without conversion. I mean that if you have a terrain, you can switch to CTS and back, without performing any action that would destroy your terrain. Even better, you can use the tools from Unity to draw your CTS textures on your terrain. CTS is an upgrade that seamlessly integrates to Unity`s terrain without disturbing your workflow. In consequence, any terrain tool is compatible with CTS without changing anything, it is just magic. Another problem with Megasplat was the fading between textures that was limited to 2 textures simultaneously, showing the boundaries of each texture in very ugly way. Not with CTS, by lowering the number of textures available to 16, they are able to mimic the texture platting and you can get 4 textures mixing together. Your terrain is looking the same with Unity`s terrain and CTS, patches of grass are at the same place regardless the terrain resolution that you use! CTS adds a lot of creative and GPU cheap ways to add more details, using UV mixing to remove the seams, adding geological presets that are changing the colors of the texture based on geological datas, by using puddles at the next level, doing lakes in no times and using SSR instead of planar reflections, which is running so much faster (in deferred mode only). I am amazed by the quality of this product, the source code is provided and it has comments and is easy to understand. One option that is really super powerful is the fact they support substances, so just output a BSAR from Substance Designer and you are good to go! There are so many options, all useful, like the snow, and the integration with weather! Basically, Megasplat is dead, so is RTP as well. All these assets are from the past compared with CTS, with its unmatched user friendly interface and bug free code!
